JOB DESCRIPTION


Position: Head of Business Development

Department: Marketing & Commercial

Reporting To: Chief Commercial Officer


Responsibilities & Duties


  • Communication and Customer Relations


  • Develop and execute effective communication strategies to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, government bodies, and the public


  • Serve as the liaison between the company and corporate and government agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a favorable regulatory environment


  • Craft and disseminate clear, consistent messages to internal and external audiences, aligning with the company’s values and goals


Branding


  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s overall branding strategy, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand identity


  • Support initiatives to strengthen brand awareness, loyalty, and differentiation in the market


  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate the brand into products, services, and communications


Business Development


  • Ensure sustainability of the company’s line of business


  • Explore, formulate, and execute expansion into new business opportunities


  • Build, maintain, and enhance strong relationships with authorities and key stakeholders


  • Apply, retain, and extend the company’s business licenses


  • Apply, negotiate, renegotiate, and extend agreements with airport operators to ensure sustainability and maintain business feasibility


  • Keep abreast of new regulations relating to the company’s businesses and provide recommendations to management to ensure business sustainability


  • Build business intelligence capabilities to understand the business and competitive landscape within the industry and provide recommendations on management strategies


  • Explore, formulate, propose, and seek management approval for new business and service expansion opportunities


  • Liaise and coordinate with related units and departments on agreements, regulations, and industry changes which may affect operational and service sustainability, as well as new business opportunities requiring cross departmental collaboration


  • Identify and grow new territorial markets


  • Engage leads through mailing campaigns, emails, conference calls, video calls, and face to face meetings to convert them into clients


  • Negotiate quotations and contracts with clients


  • Identify and participate in tenders relevant to the company’s business lines


  • Engage existing clients to ensure continued business satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities


  • Manage the pipeline of opportunities to ensure a healthy flow of potential deals that sustain company growth


  • Create a business environment conducive to business growth by maintaining strong relationships with business partners, authorities, agents, distributors, and professional associations


  • Participate in the development of the company’s yearly marketing, communication, and strategic plans


  • Manage a team of sales managers and sales support executives as business activities expand


  • Attend conferences, meetings, trade shows, and industry events


  • Work closely with Management on data analytics and strategic decision making


  • Identify new business opportunities to generate new revenue streams and improve profitability


  • Implement and execute new business projects in collaboration with other departments


  • Work and collaborate with the SATS WFS network

Requirements


  • Minimum 10 years of related or relevant working experience


  • Degree or professional qualification in a related discipline or equivalent from a recognized higher institution
